Treatment

IV Infusions at Dr. Harris.

Intravenous infusions deliver vitamins, minerals, amino acids or antioxidants directly into the bloodstream — independent of gastrointestinal absorption. This can be helpful in cases of micronutrient deficiency, fatigue or to support regeneration.

At Dr. Harris, IV infusions are not a lifestyle service but a doctor-indicated measure. We check the medical indication before every infusion and adjust the composition individually.

Which infusion for which goal?

Classic indications are fatigue (Fatigue protocol), immune support (Vitamin C, zinc), liver support (glutathione, amino acids) and stress/neuro support (magnesium, B vitamins, antioxidants).

For chronic fatigue or pronounced symptoms, medical workup is important — IV infusions don't replace diagnostics. We discuss this honestly in the consultation and place the measure in a broader context.

The Dr. Harris principle.

IV infusions are not a cure-all. They complement — with proper indication — sleep, exercise, nutrition and medical workup. We avoid marketing promises and only use infusions where we see a plausible benefit.

Every infusion is personally planned and medically supervised by Dr. Harris.

Indication

When it makes sense — and when we advise against it.

Suitable when …

  • pronounced fatigue (after medical workup)
  • documented micronutrient deficiencies (e.g. iron, B vitamins)
  • recovery after illness, surgery or high stress
  • immune support in particularly demanding phases
  • complementary to medical workup and lifestyle measures

We advise against it when …

  • pregnancy or breastfeeding without clear indication
  • severe cardiac or renal disease without specialist clearance
  • acute infections or unclear conditions without diagnosis
  • the expectation that a single infusion will solve chronic problems
  • when another medical measure should take priority

Frequently Asked

Good to know.

Do IV infusions really help?

With a clearly defined indication (e.g. iron deficiency, pronounced fatigue), IV infusions can be sensible and noticeably effective. As a lifestyle boost without indication they are rarely medically justified.

Which infusion is right for me?

It depends on your indication and possibly lab values. In the consultation we check symptoms, history and — if appropriate — diagnostics before recommending a protocol.

How quickly do you notice an effect?

For fatigue states, often within 24–48 hours. For structural issues (e.g. micronutrient build-up) the effect builds over weeks.

What side effects are possible?

Usually mild: brief prick pain, small bruise at the puncture site, rarely circulatory or allergic reaction. Serious complications are rare but cannot be entirely excluded.

Does an infusion replace medical workup?

No. For persistent fatigue, unclear symptoms or suspected deficiency, medical workup (lab, history) is decisive. Infusions complement diagnostics but don't replace them.

Can infusions be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Often combined with oral micronutrient supplementation, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations and — if indicated — further medical workup.

What does an infusion cost?

From CHF 300 per infusion. Price depends on protocol and individual composition. Initial consultation CHF 50, credited.
