Hyaluronic acid fillers
at Dr. Harris.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring molecule that gives skin its volume, hydration and structure. As we age, the body produces less of it — the face subtly loses support, contour and freshness.
Cross-linked hyaluronic acid fillers replace volume exactly where it makes medical and aesthetic sense: lips, cheeks, chin or along the nasolabial fold. The goal is not a new face — it is a more balanced one.
At Dr. Harris, treatment is planned individually and conservatively. We work with established Swiss brand products and prioritise natural proportion over maximum volume.
Where fillers make sense — and where they don't.
Fillers are particularly suited to restoring volume lost through ageing: subtle lip contour, gentle cheek lift, chin harmonisation, softening of the nasolabial fold. They can also be used for subtle correction of facial proportions.
For purely expression-based lines (forehead, frown, crow's feet), fillers don't work — that's where Botulinum toxin is indicated. For skin quality issues without volume loss, Profhilo, skinboosters, PRP or polynucleotides may be more appropriate.

The Dr. Harris principle.
A good result isn't recognised — only an excessive one is. So we dose restrainedly and, if desired, plan a gentle build-up across several sessions.
Every treatment is personally planned and performed by Dr. Harris. Fillers are a medical procedure with individual anatomy, indication and dosing.
Indication
When it makes sense — and when we advise against it.
Suitable when …
- visible volume loss in cheeks or temples
- lips appear flat or asymmetric
- the chin could use more projection
- the nasolabial fold feels deeper than comfortable
- subtle harmonisation of facial proportions is desired
We advise against it when …
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- an acute skin infection in the treatment area
- known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid products
- unrealistic expectations about volume amount
- another treatment (e.g. skinbooster, Botulinum toxin) would be more appropriate

Approx. 30–45 minutes. Topical cream, very fine needles or cannulas. The result is immediately visible.
Review
The result can be reviewed after about 2 weeks if needed. Small corrections are possible in this phase.
Frequently Asked
Good to know.
How long do fillers last?
Depending on area and product, approximately 9–18 months. Lips are often shorter than cheeks or chin because movement accelerates breakdown.
Will the result look natural?
Yes — when conservatively dosed. We work with the natural face, not against it. Exaggerated lips or cheeks come from over-dosing.
Is the treatment painful?
Little. We use topical cream, the filler contains lidocaine, and for sensitive areas (e.g. lips) very fine needles or blunt cannulas are standard.
What side effects are possible?
Usually mild: swelling, small bruises, short-term tenderness. Serious complications are rare but, as with any medical procedure, cannot be entirely excluded.
Are fillers reversible?
Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if the result isn't desired or a complication occurs. That's a key safety advantage over permanent fillers.
Can fillers be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Fillers are often combined with Botulinum toxin (expression), skinboosters (skin quality) or Profhilo / polynucleotides (regeneration) — depending on the indication.
What does the treatment cost?
From CHF 400 per area. Total price depends on number of areas and product amount. Initial consultation CHF 50, credited if treated the same day.
Are fillers right for you?
We discuss your situation in a short medical consultation — or via WhatsApp if you would like an initial assessment. No sales pressure, with honest indication.
