Treatment

PRP — regeneration
from your own blood.

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. From a small amount of your own blood, the regenerative components (platelets and growth factors) are concentrated in a centrifuge and then injected into the area to be treated.

The growth factors stimulate the body's own repair and regeneration processes. The procedure has been established in sports and wound medicine for over two decades and is used in aesthetic medicine for skin quality, skin glow and hair density.

Where PRP makes sense — and where it doesn't.

PRP is suitable for improving skin quality (texture, glow, fine porosity), supporting hair loss and thinning hair, and as a gentle skin booster without volume effect. It is often recommended as a course of 4 sessions 4–6 weeks apart.

For pronounced volume loss, PRP is not suitable — fillers are indicated there. For very advanced hair loss, medical workup (iron, thyroid, hormones) should also be done before PRP.

The Dr. Harris principle.

PRP works subtly and gradually — no ‘wow’ effect after 24 hours. We use it deliberately where we want to trigger biological regeneration, not as a cosmetic quick fix.

Every session is personally performed by Dr. Harris. PRP is a medical procedure with individual indication and dosing.

Indication

When it makes sense — and when we advise against it.

Suitable when …

  • skin quality appears dull, tired or fine-pored
  • hair loss or thinning without a clear medical cause
  • a biological, autologous method is preferred
  • a skinbooster course without volume effect is desired
  • PRP should be combined with other treatments (skinbooster, Botulinum toxin)

We advise against it when …

  • pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • a coagulation disorder or anticoagulant therapy
  • active infection or inflammation in the treatment area
  • an immediate, visible result is expected
  • another treatment would be medically more appropriate

Process

How your appointment works.

1
Consultation & blood draw

We discuss your goals, check indication, then take about 15–20 ml of blood and centrifuge it.

2
Treatment

The obtained PRP is delivered to the treatment area — via microneedling, injection or combination. Approx. 45–60 minutes.

3
Course & follow-up

We recommend 4 sessions 4–6 weeks apart. First effects after 4–8 weeks, full result after about 3 months.

Frequently Asked

Good to know.

What exactly is PRP?

PRP is platelet-rich plasma from your own blood. After a small blood draw, the blood is centrifuged; the regenerative components (platelets and growth factors) are then delivered to the target tissue.

When will I see results?

PRP works gradually. First changes after 4–8 weeks, full result after about 3 months. A course of 4 sessions enhances and stabilises the effect.

Is the treatment painful?

The blood draw is like a normal routine blood draw. The injections are well tolerated thanks to fine needles and topical cream.

What side effects are possible?

Usually mild: slight redness, small bruises, short-term swelling. Serious complications are rare but cannot be entirely excluded.

Does PRP really help with hair loss?

PRP can support hair density and quality, especially in early stages of thinning. For pronounced or genetic hair loss the effect is limited — we are honest about that.

Can PRP be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Often combined with skinboosters, microneedling, polynucleotides, Profhilo® or Botulinum toxin — depending on skin quality, expression and indication.

What does the treatment cost?

From CHF 400 per session. The recommended 4-session course CHF 1200 (pay for 3, get 4). Initial consultation CHF 50, credited if treated the same day.

Is PRP right for you?

We discuss your situation in a short medical consultation — or via WhatsApp if you would like an initial assessment. No sales pressure, with honest indication.
