Lip Filler
at Zurich HB
Lip treatment with hyaluronic acid, planned and performed by the doctor. We would rather use too little than too much: your lips should suit your face.

Treatment
More definition,
not a different face.
Lips lose volume and definition over the years, and some are naturally thin or uneven. Cross-linked hyaluronic acid can address this precisely: a little more fullness, a clearer lip line or better symmetry.
How much makes sense depends on your proportions. Often less is needed than people expect. If you want more volume, it is better built up over two appointments than in one step.
What hyaluronic acid can do — and what it can't.
Hyaluronic acid is a molecule the body produces itself, and it is gradually broken down. In the lips the result usually lasts around 6 to 12 months. How long exactly varies and depends on factors such as product and amount.
Unlike a permanent filler, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase if you do not like the result or a complication occurs.

Risks.
Swelling and small bruises are common and usually settle within a few days. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel. This has to be recognised and treated immediately — which is why only the doctor injects at our practice.
Filler for cheeks, chin and nasolabial folds: Hyaluronic acid filler.
Indication

- the lip contour looks less defined
- upper and lower lip are clearly uneven

- there is an acute infection around the lips (e.g. cold sores)
- you have a known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid products or lidocaine
- the desired volume would not suit your face
Process
How your appointment works.
Consultation
We discuss what you would like and assess your lips and facial proportions. If treatment is appropriate, we plan the amount and approach. CHF 50, credited if treated the same day.
Treatment
Numbing cream first, then fine injections; the filler also contains lidocaine. About 30 minutes in total.
Afterwards
The lips are usually swollen for 2–3 days. For 24 hours, avoid sport, sauna or strong heat, and alcohol. The final result shows after about 2 weeks.
FAQ
Good to know.
How much does lip filler cost in Zurich?
From CHF 400. The exact price depends on the amount of product and is discussed before treatment. The consultation costs CHF 50 and is credited if you are treated the same day. Payment is made on site by card or cash.
How long does lip filler last?
Usually around 6 to 12 months, varying from person to person. Because the lips move a lot, hyaluronic acid is often broken down faster there than in the cheeks or chin.
Can hyaluronic acid filler be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with the enzyme hyaluronidase, for example if you do not like the result or if a complication occurs. This is not possible with permanent fillers.
Will it look natural?
That depends mainly on the amount used. We dose conservatively and work with your proportions. More volume can be added at a second appointment.
Does it hurt?
The lips are sensitive. With numbing cream and the lidocaine contained in the filler, most people find the treatment easy to tolerate.
What are the risks?
Swelling and small bruises are common and settle within a few days. Rarely, filler can block a blood vessel. Increasing pain or a whitish to bluish discolouration after treatment needs immediate medical assessment.
Is lip filler right for you?
