Profhilo® at Dr. Harris.
Profhilo® is an injectable bioremodelling product made of highly concentrated, long-chain hyaluronic acid (32 mg/ml of two molecular weights). It is not used to fill volume but to improve skin quality — firmness, elasticity, hydration and glow.
Profhilo® spreads across the tissue and stimulates the body's own collagen and elastin production. The result: better skin quality without visible volume — particularly on face, neck, décolleté and the back of the hands.
At Dr. Harris, Profhilo® is one of our preferred methods for declining skin elasticity — as a standalone treatment or combined with filler, Botulinum toxin or PRP.
Who is Profhilo® for?
Profhilo® is particularly suited from middle adulthood, when the skin begins to lose tension and hydration. Typical areas: lower face, neck, décolleté, backs of the hands.
For pronounced skin laxity, Profhilo® doesn't replace a surgical lift — but for moderate laxity it clearly improves texture and tension. In the consultation we analyse whether Profhilo® is the right method for you.

Suitable when …
- the skin appears slack, less firm than before
- neck and décolleté show fine lines and loss of hydration
- a subtle lifting effect without filler is desired
- skin quality should be stabilised long-term
- combination with filler or Botulinum toxin is planned
We advise against it when …
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- an acute skin infection in the treatment area
- known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
- an immediate, dramatic result is expected
- another method (e.g. filler, skinbooster, surgery) would be more appropriate
Process
How your appointment works.
Consultation
We analyse skin quality, tension and hydration and plan — if indicated — area, number of sessions and maintenance rhythm. CHF 50, credited.
Treatment
Approx. 30 minutes. Injections at defined points (BAP technique) or area-wide. Small papules appear immediately and disappear within 12–24 hours.
Course & maintenance
Recommendation: 2 sessions 4 weeks apart, then maintenance every 6 months. First effects after about 4 weeks, full effect after 8 weeks.

What is the difference to filler?
Fillers build volume (lips, cheeks). Profhilo® spreads across the skin and improves its quality — firmness, elasticity, hydration — without volume effect.
What is the difference to classic skinboosters?
Profhilo® has a higher concentration of long-chain hyaluronic acid and works more strongly on elasticity and firmness. Skinboosters are particularly suited to hydration and glow.
When will I see results?
First effects after about 4 weeks, full effect after 8 weeks. The effect builds gradually.
How long does the result last?
Approx. 6 months after the 2-session course. With maintenance every 6 months, skin quality is stably improved long-term.
Is the treatment painful?
Little. Very fine needles, often with topical cream. Most patients tolerate the treatment very well.
What side effects are possible?
Usually mild: papules (12–24 hours), light redness, rarely small bruises. Serious complications are rare but cannot be entirely excluded.
Can Profhilo® be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Often combined with Botulinum toxin, filler, PRP or polynucleotides — depending on the indication.
