Indication
Who the Baar consultation is for.
Not every question belongs in Baar. We will tell you in advance if a concern is better handled at the general practice at Zurich HB.
It makes sense if you …
- would like an aesthetic treatment without travelling to Zurich
- want your skin, your face and your general condition assessed together for once
- have been tired, unrested or «not quite yourself» for some time and want to know whether that can be measured
- already have blood results that nobody has properly explained to you
- would like a medical second opinion on a check-up
Not suitable for …
- acute illness
- emergencies
- anything covered by Swiss basic health insurance
- concerns requiring examination with full practice infrastructure
- general practice care — that is handled at Zurich HB, and we will book the appointment there for you
Treatments
Treatments in Baar.
The same services and the same prices as at the main practice at Zurich HB.
Wrinkle treatment
Look fresher without looking frozen.
Muscle-relaxing treatments for forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet, masseter tension and excessive sweating — precisely dosed to soften expression while preserving natural movement.
Dermal fillers
Balance, contour and subtle volume.
Hyaluronic acid fillers for lips, cheeks, chin and selected facial lines. The goal is not to change your face — it is to restore proportion, freshness and harmony.
Skin quality & regeneration
Better skin quality from within.
Skinboosters, Profhilo, PRP, Sunekos and polynucleotides support hydration, elasticity, glow and skin texture — without adding visible volume.
Hair & scalp regeneration
Regenerative support for thinning hair.
PRP and selected regenerative treatments can support hair density and scalp vitality. When needed, we also look at possible medical factors such as iron, thyroid, hormones, stress and inflammation.
Longevity & IV support
Longevity support, medically assessed.
Selected IV therapies and micronutrient support for fatigue, recovery, deficiencies and vitality — used only when medically appropriate.
Same prices as at Zurich HB. Full price list under Prices.
Longevity diagnostics
The part a studio
cannot provide.
A longevity programme without blood results is guesswork. Equipment, light, cold and oxygen can support you — but none of them measure whether a thyroid is off balance, an iron store empty, an inflammation silent, or a glucose metabolism already drifting. That requires blood, a laboratory and a medical assessment.
So the starting point is a laboratory analysis tailored to your question — thyroid, iron status, inflammation, glucose metabolism, hormones, vitamins — and a written medical report that does not merely list the values but interprets them: what matters, what needs watching, what carries no significance.
What is medically available in Baar
Check-up and prevention. A structured assessment of where you stand: laboratory profile, cardiometabolic risk evaluation, screening appropriate to your age and history. Not a whole-body screen, but targeted measurement of what actually means something in your situation.
The Baseline Men's Programme Second opinion on a check-up. You already have results, but nobody has interpreted them. Often the existing material is sufficient and only a few additional values are needed.
Extended functional assessment. For persistent exhaustion, brain fog, digestive complaints or hormonal symptoms that remain despite unremarkable standard results. Targeted diagnostics following a clinical hypothesis — no speculative test panels, no off-the-shelf supplement protocols.
How it works
- Step 1
- preliminary discussion: deciding what to measure
- Step 2
- laboratory request and blood draw
- Step 3
- written medical report
- Step 4
- consultation to decide what actually needs doing
Sometimes a treatment follows. Sometimes the conclusion is that nothing needs doing. Both are results.
The equipment available on site is offered by the studio and can be combined with the diagnostics on request. The medical assessment and the responsibility for it rest with Dr. Harris Romanos.
Metabolic Reset — 8 weeks in Baar
The structured programme for those who want more than a single report: eight weeks of guidance. Blood analysis and a written medical report at the start, two consultations, the on-site applications in between — and a repeat measurement at the end instead of an assumption.
Included
- Diagnostics
- laboratory panel, written medical report
- Medical
- 2 consultations with Dr. Romanos
- Cellular metabolism
- 10× IHHT / Cellgym — intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training
- Photobiomodulation
- 10× TheraLight — full-body red light therapy
- Progress
- 2× body composition (bioimpedance)
- Duration
- 8 weeks
- Price
- CHF 2,900
For context: a comparable equipment-only programme at the studio costs around CHF 1,500 — with no physician, no blood work and no report. The difference is not the number of sessions. The difference is that someone measures, interprets and carries the responsibility for it.
Available individually
On medical indication and by arrangement, also outside the programme:
IHHT / Cellgym. Intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training. Of the applications on site, the one with the best evidence base — studied in exhaustion syndromes, post-viral recovery and mild cognitive impairment.
TheraLight — photobiomodulation. Red and near-infrared light. Solid evidence for skin quality, collagen and wound healing, and supportive in hair loss. Combines sensibly with PRP and the skin quality treatments.
Cryotherapy. Brief cold exposure. Evidenced mainly for recovery and post-exercise muscle soreness; broader longevity effects are not sufficiently established, and we say so.
Body composition. Bioimpedance measurement of muscle, fat and water. Simple but honest — and far more informative over months than body weight alone.
Procedures without robust validation do not form part of our medical assessment. If a value appears in our report, it came from the laboratory.
To be clear
What this is not.
- Not a wellness treatment. Everything done here is medical practice, with indication, informed consent and documentation.
- Not a subscription. There is no membership and no obligation to book follow-up appointments.
- No promises about a particular appearance. We work conservatively and would rather under-dose than over-dose.
- No treatment without examination. Existing patients are reassessed before every procedure.
- Not billed through basic health insurance. See the section on costs and insurance.

Costs
Costs and insurance.
All treatments in Baar are private, self-pay services and are not billed through Swiss basic health insurance (Grundversicherung). Aesthetic treatments are not covered by basic insurance as a matter of principle; the longevity diagnostics in Baar are deliberately billed privately as well, so that the separation stays unambiguous.
You receive a cost breakdown before treatment and an invoice afterwards. Supplementary insurance policies (Zusatzversicherung) reimburse differently depending on the policy — please clarify this directly with your insurer in advance.
If you have a concern that is medically covered by basic health insurance, we will tell you so and arrange an appointment at the general practice at Zurich HB.
