A therapy, not a prescription.
Modern GLP-1-based therapies – colloquially known as the "weight loss injection" – have changed the medical treatment of excess weight. They regulate appetite and satiety and, combined with nutrition and exercise, can contribute to significant, sustained weight reduction.
What matters is how the therapy is used. These are prescription-only medicines with individual dosing, possible side effects and clear medical requirements. That is why we do not offer an injection "on demand" – but a doctor-led weight therapy with assessment, titration and regular follow-up.
Every therapy is personally planned and supervised by Dr. Harris. The medication is dispensed in the practice – there is no mail-order prescription.

Suitable if …
- your BMI is 30 or above – or 27 and above with weight-related conditions such as prediabetes, high blood pressure or lipid disorders
- diets and lifestyle changes alone have not led to your goal
- you want a medically led, structured weight reduction
- you are ready to combine the therapy with nutrition and exercise
- regular medical appointments are feasible for you
We advise against it if …
- you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy
- certain pre-existing conditions are present – for example of the pancreas or thyroid; we assess this in the initial consultation
- the goal is losing a few kilos for aesthetic reasons without a medical indication
- an eating disorder is the primary issue
- another assessment or treatment would be medically more appropriate

Start & titration
Therapy starts at a low dose, increased step by step. You learn the application, and we accompany the first weeks closely.
Monthly care
Monthly medical appointment: weight, tolerability, dose adjustment – and dispensing of the medication directly in the practice.
Progress monitoring
We track weight, laboratory values and wellbeing over time. Once stable, intervals can gradually be extended.

The final monthly price depends on preparation and dose and is discussed transparently before therapy starts. No hidden costs, no package lock-in – the therapy continues for as long as it is medically appropriate.
Medical Approach
Why monthly –
and why no mail-order prescriptions.
GLP-1-based therapies work – but they are not a lifestyle product. The dose has to be set individually, side effects have to be recognised, and the weight trajectory has to be medically assessed. That cannot be done by post.
The monthly appointment is therefore a condition of the therapy: it ensures the dose is right, tolerability is good and weight loss stays within a healthy range – preserving muscle, a stable circulation and an orderly metabolism. Once stable, intervals can be extended; home delivery may then be added for convenience, but it never replaces medical supervision.
What this is not.
No medication on demand. No prescription by post after an online form. No miracle promises – the therapy supports weight reduction but replaces neither nutrition nor exercise. And no therapy start without a personal medical assessment.

How much does the therapy cost?

Why is a monthly appointment a condition?
Because the dose has to be titrated step by step and progress has to be medically monitored. The monthly appointment is the medical core of the therapy – it keeps it safe and effective. Once stable, intervals can be extended.
How quickly will I lose weight?
Progress is individual and depends on starting weight, dose, nutrition and exercise. The goal is continuous, healthy weight loss – not the fastest possible drop. We discuss realistic expectations in the initial consultation.
What side effects are possible?
Most common are nausea, a feeling of fullness and digestive complaints, especially at the beginning. Slow titration usually keeps them manageable. Rare, more serious side effects cannot be fully excluded – which is why the therapy is medically supervised. We discuss all risks individually before starting.
Who is the therapy suitable for?
Generally from a BMI of 30, or from 27 with weight-related conditions. Whether there is an indication is assessed in the initial medical consultation – honestly and without sales pressure.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book the initial consultation directly online. The assessment takes place at our practice at Bahnhofplatz, right at Zurich main station.
What if the therapy is not suitable for me?
Then we tell you honestly and discuss alternatives – from nutrition strategies and a medical metabolic assessment to other treatment options. No medication is dispensed without an indication.
Is this therapy right for you?
